Why Smart Wisconsin Contractors Sponsor CE

Insurance agents are the gatekeepers of claim-funded revenue. They recommend who they trust. This is how you become someone they trust.

A Captive Room of Agents

Agents stay for 1 to 8 hours because they need the CE credit. That's exposure to your business — way more than a cold call or a drop-in.

Real Face Time

You introduce the day, break bread with attendees, shake hands, tour your facility, if possible. By the time they leave, you're not just a Google result — you're someone they've met.

I Have the List

I have access to the complete Wisconsin insurance agent email list. I can help you with invitations, reminders, and registrations. You bring the venue, the snacks, and the handshake.

CE Agents Actually Want

Wisconsin agents need 24 credit hours every biennium. Free, quality CE + lunch is an easy yes. That's why attendance is high and agents show up ready to pay attention.

Credible Instructor

I'm a Wisconsin-licensed insurance agent since 1995 and WI OCI-approved CE provider #20781 since 2002. I speak their language and deliver valuable education because I am one of them.

Measurable ROI

One additional claim referral per month could pay for the event many times over. Most sponsors book a second event once they see what happens to their referral pipeline.

How a Sponsored CE Event Works

From first phone call to follow-up referrals — here's the whole arc.

1

We Talk

Quick phone or text conversation. What does your business do, who are your target agents, half-day or full-day, your venue or a neutral spot? I give you a custom proposal.

2

We Pick the Date & CE Topic

We choose a Wisconsin OCI-approved topic relevant to your business — water mitigation, auto claim handling, storm damage assessment, ethics, AI, etc. Agents earn legitimate credit toward their 24-credit biennial requirement.

3

I Fill the Room

I supply you Wisconsin agent emails from the state list. You send invites to those agents and agencies as well as those you already know. Registrations, reminders, confirmations — I guide you though it.

4

Event Day: You Open, I Teach

You welcome attendees, introduce your business, maybe give a facility tour. I teach the CE content. You serve refreshments or lunch. Agents mingle, network, and get to know your business.

5

I File with WI OCI

I handle completion certificates and submit credits to Wisconsin OCI. Every agent in that room is now your new warm contact — and you're on their mental shortlist when a claim comes in.

6

Referrals Start Flowing

Over the following weeks and months, expect calls. Most sponsors book another event within 6 months — and many make it an annual tradition.

Why Sponsors Keep Coming Back

I'm not a generic trainer. I've been a Wisconsin-licensed insurance agent since 1995 and I've been running Wisconsin's approved CE provider #20781 since 2002. I know exactly what agents care about, what gets them in the door, and what keeps them engaged for a full afternoon.

Past sponsors include restoration businesses and cleaning and restoration companies — businesses that saw the ROI on their first event and kept booking more.

My job is to make you look good, deliver quality CE that agents actually appreciate, and leave the room buzzing about your business.

Sponsored CE Event FAQ

The most common questions I get from restoration, body shop, and contractor owners.

How does sponsoring a CE event help my business?
Wisconsin insurance agents choose which businesses to recommend when their policyholders have a loss. They refer businesses they know and trust. A sponsored CE event puts you in a room with 20 to 60+ local agents for a half or full day. You get face time, brand recognition, and a relationship with the exact people who send insurance claim work to businesses like yours.
Who is eligible to sponsor?
Any Wisconsin business whose revenue comes from insurance claim payouts: water/fire/mold restoration, auto body shops, roofers, siding and gutter contractors, window replacement, flooring, content restoration, tree services, and general restoration contractors. If an insurance company check lands on your desk when a policyholder has a loss, you qualify.
How do you get so many agents to come?
Three things combine. First, I have access to the Wisconsin insurance agent email list. Second, I've been building relationships with Wisconsin agents since 2002 — many of them already know my name. Third, you invite agencies you already know. The overlap of these three lists fills the room.
What CE topics can we choose from?
Anything Wisconsin OCI-approved that ties back to your business. A restoration sponsor might host a class on water mitigation, mold protocols, or claim documentation. A body shop might sponsor a class on auto claim handling and OEM parts. Roofers often pick storm damage assessment or hail claim best practices. We can also include ethics credits, which agents always need. AI is a huge topic right now with agents.
How long is a typical event?
From two-hour early morning or evening sessions to full-day workshops of 6 to 8 CE credit hours. More than enough time for meaningful face time.
What does it cost?
Every event is custom. Pricing depends on event length, location, and expected attendance. Call or text me and I'll walk you through a proposal for what you want.
Where are events held?
Most often at the sponsor's facility — which doubles as a showroom and facility tour for the agents. Alternatives include a hotel conference room, country club, or even a Zoom webinar. In-person events produce noticeably stronger referral relationships than virtual ones.
How much lead time do you need?
8 to 12 weeks is ideal so we can build registration momentum. 6 weeks is possible under the right conditions. Less than that and attendance drops sharply — agents plan their calendars. Contact me as soon as you know you want to do an event and we'll lock in a date.
